2010년 CSIC(캐나다 정부공인 이민컨설턴트) 멤버들을 위한 CSIC/CMI 2010 National Education Conference가 몬트리올에서 열렸습니다. 

지난 7일 오전, National Bank Financial 부회장이자 투자 이민프로그램 담당 이사인 Louis Leblanc은 연방정부 순수투자이민카테고리와 퀘백 투자이민 카테고리에 관해 현 투자이민자격 조건이 상향 조정 될것이라고 밝혔습니다.

현재 연방순수투자이민이나 퀘백투자이민을 하기 위해서는 합법적으로 취득 된 순자산 CAD 800,000을 증명, 5년 동안CAD 400,000연방정부나 퀘백정부에 예치(5년 후 무이자반환) 하거나 선이자CAD 120,000을 지불하는 조건이었습니다.

이날 Loucis Leblanc는 2010년 10월부터 최소한 CAD 1,600,000의 합법적으로 취득한 순자산이 증명되어야 하고 5년 동안CAD 800,000을 예치(5년 후 무이자반환)하거나CAD 212,000를 선이자로 지불하는 것으로 투자 이민 조건이 변경될 것이라고 말했습니다.

정부는 2008년도에도 이와 같이 투자이민에 자격을 강화하려 했지만, 세계적인 경제불황으로 철회한적이 있습니다. 

또한 Leblanc 은 현재  중국에서만 매달 1000에서 1200건의 순수투자이민 신청이 들어온다고 설명 하고 10년간 부동이었던 투자조건을 상향하는 것이 순수투자이민신청을 제한하는 가장 좋은 대안이 될것이라고 설명했습니다.

The CSIC/CMI 2010 National Education Conference for CSIC members was held in Montreal this year.  The morning of May 7, 2010, Mr. Louis Leblanc, Vice-President and Managing Director of the Immigrant Investor Programs at National Bank Financial had important information about the Federal and Quebec Investor Immigrant category for Canadian immigration.  Mr. Leblanc had talked to Citizenship and Immigration Canada the day before.  The requirements for the Federal and Quebec Investor Immigrant category will double by October 2010.  By October 2010 a Federal or Quebec Investor Immigrant will need a net worth of at least C $1 600 000 that was legally obtained, and be willing and able to make an interest free loan of C $ 800 000 for five years to either the Federal or Quebec government.  Or the payout option, giving the Federal or Quebec government about C $212 000.  Presently a Federal or Quebec Investor Immigrant will need a net worth of at least C $ 800 000 that was legally obtained, and be willing and able to make an interest free loan of C $ 400 000 for five years to either the Federal or Quebec government.  The current payout option is $120 000. 

The federal government wanted to increase the investor immigrant requirements in 2008 but the whole world went into a recession.  The current requirements have not been increased for ten years.  But the main reason why the requirements are going up is because of the building backlog of investor applications.  Mr. Leblanc said that just from China alone there are now between 1000-1200 investor immigrant applications per month this year.
