2012 January English Intensive Language Program

for Korean Students in America.

 

(JANUARY 2-23, 2012)

$2,000 per student (Three weeks)*

*Does not include airplane ticket to & from McAllen, Texas airport

 

Three Week Intensive Language program include:

1. English Reading, Writing, Conversation classes with three different levels

2. Food, Dormitory room, transportation during three weeks

3. Home-stay during last weekend with american families

4. Trip to South Padre Island Beach, Mall Trips

5. Classroom visitation, evening sports social time with academy students 

 

Typical daily schedule: (During the week)

6:45 am Morning Worship

7:00 am Breakfast

8:00 am Welcome and important announcements

8:30 am English Reading (Level 1), English Writing (Level 2), English Conversation (Level 3)

9:40 am English Reading (Level 2), English Wriing (Level 3), English Conversation (Level 1)

10: 50 am English Reading (Level 3), English Writing (Level 1), English Conversation (Level 2)

12:00 pm Lunch (Watch VGAA Bell Choir Rehearsal)

12:50 pm Homework & Study Time

2:13 pm Visit Academy Classrooms (One class per day-History, Science, Math, English, Health, Bible and more)

2:17 pm Visit Academy music class (VGAA Sylvan Chorale)

3:11 pm Visit Academy Music class (VGAA Wind Ensemble)

4:01 pm Homework & Study Time

5:00 pm Dinner

6:00 pm Evening Activity (Basketball, Shopping, Outlet Mall, watch school sports game, game against academy students)

7:00 pm (Wednesday-Prayer meeting)

8:00 pm Back to Dormitory & Study Time

 

Typical weekend schedule: (When not traveling)

Friday Night:

Church evening vespers

 

Saturday morning & afternoon:

Church Sabbath School & Divine Worship

Afternoon outreach ministries

Evening (Talent show, student fun activity, or attend musical concert performance)

 

 

Sunday possible visiting sights: (Time permits)

South Padre Island (Beach one day)

Visit to University of Texas at Pan American campus tour

San Antonio-Riverwalk

Houston-NASA visit (Rice University)

Dallas-Six Flag Amusement Park

Southwestern Adventist University-Keene, Texas

McAllen, Plaza Mall

Austin-University of Texas at Austin (Texas State Capitol)

Swimming pool, laundry day

Currently, VGAA is undergoing $4 Million Dollar capitol improvement (New Music Building and Physical Education and Gymnasium).

Active Alumni Association involvement and many students go on to our own Adventist Schools.

Our VGAA Students have been acccepted by: University of Michigan, University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Pan American, Southwestern Adventist University, Southern Adventist University, Pacific Union College, La Sierra University, Walla Walla College, Washington Adventist University, Kettering Medical Arts College and Andrews University.
