위와 같이 식당에서 웨이터가 "Are you all set?"이라고 물으면 "Are you ready to order?"
즉 "주문하실 준비가 다 되셨습니까?"라는 말이다. 또는 외출할 채비를 하는 사람에게
"Are you all set?"이라고 하면 "I'm[We're]all set" 또는 "I'm ready"라고 한다. 반대로 준비가 안 된 경우에는
"I'm not all set"이라고 할 수 없으며 "I'm not ready." 라고 한다.
