캐나다 청소년들에게 잡을 찾아 주는 프로그램을 만들어 6000명 이상되는 청소년들을 도울것이며, 또한 가정과 캐나다 경제가 살아 날수 있도록 돕겠다는 발표를 했다..
동시에 정부는 캐네디언 고용 프로그램을 위해 많은 돈을 투자하겠다고 노동청을 통해서 발표했다.
취업후 이민을 생각하고 있는 사람들에게 점점 더 워크퍼밋이 어려워 진다는 것을 보여주는 기사들이 계속 해서 터져 나왔다.
Program helps unemployed youth find jobs
NELSON, BRITISH COLUMBIA, January 20, 2009—The Government of Canada will help more than 6,000 unemployed youth in Nelson and the surrounding area prepare for, find and keep jobs, announced the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development.

“Canada’s economy is only as strong as its workers and families, so we are taking action to strengthen tomorrow’s work force by investing in Canada’s youth today,” said Minister Finley. “In supporting this project, the Government of Canada is helping Nelson-area youth develop the skills, knowledge and experience they need to move forward in their lives.”

“The Mayor and Council are strong supporters of the Youth Employment Resource Centre. They are very pleased that the Government of Canada has recognized the valuable service the Centre provides to our community by continuing to provide funding for its operation,” says Ms. Linda Tynan, Director of Corporate Services for the City of Nelson.

The Nelson and District Youth Centre’s Youth Employment Resource Centre will receive more than $450,000 in funding support for its Youth Employment Assistance Strategy project under the Government of Canada’s Employment Assistance Services program.

“The Province of British Columbia recognizes the import!ance of support for our citizens seeking employment,” said the Honourable Rich Coleman, Minister of Housing and Social Development. “Working alongside the federal government to ensure people have skills in place to participate in our job market is a priority.”


This project is an example of how the federal government works with the provinces and territories, communities and other stakeholders to provide Canadians with the training, skills and opportunities they need to participate in the work force and contribute to their communities.

Under the Canada-British Columbia Labour Market Development Agreement, beginning February 2, 2009, the Province will assume responsibility for the design and delivery of Employment Insurance-funded Employment Benefits and Support Measures. The Government of Canada will provide funding directly to the Province to deliver these programs.

Government of Canada invests in employment programs for British Columbia's Lower Mainland
LANGLEY, BRITISH COLUMBIA, January 20, 2009-Unemployed workers facing barriers to employment in British Columbia's Lower Mainland will benefit from the Government of Canada's commitment to two local employment projects. Mr. Mark Warawa, Member of Parliament for Langley, made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development.

"Canada's economy is only as strong as its workers and families, so we are committed to strengthening tomorrow's work force by investing in Canadians today," said Mr. Warawa. "In supporting these projects, the Government of Canada is helping unemployed workers in the region develop the skills, knowledge and experience they need to move forward in their lives."

Myert Corps Inc. will receive $4.38 million under the Government of Canada's Employment Assistance Services program for two employment projects. The Community Employment Resource Centre project will help over 12,000 unemployed individuals prepare for, obtain and maintain employment. The Youth Employment Zone will target 1,200 unemployed, job-ready youth for job search skills development that will provide a strong foundation for entry into the labour market.

"We are pleased to partner with the federal government to ensure that our citizens are able to develop and utilize the skills that will keep them active in our employment market and in our communities," said the Honourable Rich Coleman, British Columbia Minister of Housing and Social Development.

This project reflects the federal government's commitment to working in partnership with the provinces and territories, communities and other stakeholders to provide Canadians with the training, skills and opportunities they need to participate in the work force and contribute to their communities.

Currently, the Employment Assistance Services program is delivered by Service Canada, which provides one-stop personalized services for Government of Canada programs, services and benefits.
