Have you ever been on an airplane?

전에 비행기를 타 본 적이 있으신지요?
 

If you have, you know that in order to get on a plane, you have to go to the airport.

있으시다면 비행기에 타기 위해서는 공항에 가셔야 한다는 걸 아실 것입니다.
 

Airports are filled with airplanes.

공항은 비행기들로 차 있습니다.
 

Some are waiting to land and some are waiting to take off.

어떤 비행기들은 착륙을 기다리고 있고 어떤 비행기들은 이륙을 기다리고 있습니다.
 

An important person at the airport is the controller.

공항에서 중요한 사람은  관제사입니다.
 

He talks to all the pilot when to land and when to take off.

관제사는 언제 착륙하고 이륙하는지를 모든 조종사들에게 말해줍니다.
 

When planes land, they are carefully checked.

비행기가 착륙하면 주의깊게 체크를 받습니다.
 

Their tries(***혹시 tires 아닌지요?) are checked. The engines are checked.

비행기 타이어를 검사받습니다. 엔진도 검사를 받습니다.
 

They are refueled. 

연료가 다시 채워집니다.
 

Luggage is taken off the plane as the passengers deplane.

승객이 내리면 짐도 내려집니다.
 

New passengers get on.

새로운 승객들이 탑니다.

The plane then goes out to the runway and  waits for the controller to  give them the okay to take off. 

그러면 비행기는 활주로로 나가서 관제사의 이륙을 허가하는 신호를 기다립니다.
