Title : Japan to Seek New UN Resolution on N. Korea, While China Remains Mum on Nuclear Test



With this nuclear test... North Korea has once again grabbed headlines around the world.

Japan is seeking a new UN resolution against North Korea and is also considering tightening its own sanctions on the communist regime.

China on the other hand... has not yet released an official statement on the matter... perhaps out of concerns that any rash comments would further jeopardize the possibility of Pyeongyang returning to the six-party nuclear talks.

Jang Ji-yun has global reaction to the test.

North Korea's second nuclear test has caused the international community to react with alarm.

Starting with Japan, the country's Kyodo news agency says... the Japanese government on Monday set up a crisis management center at the prime minister's office... immediately following reports that the North had staged an underground nuclear test.

이 핵 실험으로 북한은 다시 한번 세계의 주목을 받고 있다. 일본은 북한에 대해 새로운 UN 결의안을 찾으려 하고 있으며, 또한 공산 주의 체제에 대한 제제를 더 강화할 것을 고려하고 있다.



한편 중국은 이 문제에 대해 어떤 공식적인 답변을 하고 있지 않다. 아마도 성급한 언급으로 인해 평양이 북핵 관련 6자 회담으로 복귀하려는 가능성을 더 악화시키지 않을까 하는 우려에서 일수도 있다.



장지윤은 그 실험에 대해 포괄적인 반응을 보였다.



북한의 2번째 핵 실험으로 국제 사회는 다시 한번 놀랍다는 반응을 보였다.



우선 일본의 교도 통신사는 "북한이 지하 핵 실험을 했다는 보고를 받은 직 후 월요일 일본 정부는 수상 관저에 위기 대처부서(crisis management center: 또는 비상 대책 본부? )를 설치하였다"고 말했다.
